Assistant Project Manager (Structural Steel Fabrication)

Tiello has partnered with a highly regarded Structural Steel Fabricator in Portland, OR on their search for an Assistant Project Manager who has experience working on Structural Steel Fabrication projects up to $100M.

Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

Project Types: Commercial, Industrial; Infrastructure, Data Centers, Railroad, Healthcare, Education, Public Works

Key Responsibilities:

• Assists Project Managers with project related tasks
• Assists in identifying and promoting changes to improve productivity and quality on the project
• Effectively communicates with Project Owner/Designer/Architect/Engineering regarding project schedule, issues and activities occurring on the project
• Develops RFI’s , work plans and submittals for the project
• Tracks and reports quantities of work performed and understands associated costs of such
• Develops time and material final pricing submittals
• Assists with CPM schedule development and maintenance
• Maintains as-built drawings with assistance from field staff
• Performs project specific tasks assigned by higher level manager
• Understands and communicates contract scope to field staff
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Structural Steel Fabrication experience
• Tekla Software preferred
• Experience working with both Commercial and Industrial structural steel projects
• Proficient with MS Office Products, Blue Beam
