Company Overview:
Tiello is partnered with a well-established restoration and property services contractor in Melbourne, FL, in their search for an Accounts Payable Specialist. This company has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality solutions and is looking for a detail-oriented professional to support their growing operations.
Role Summary:
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience and will be responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring accuracy and compliance in all payable activities.
Project Type:
Corporate Accounting – supporting commercial, multifamily, and disaster recovery projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports with accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure timely payments and proper coding of expenses to appropriate accounts/projects
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Assist with month-end close and preparation of financial reports
- Maintain accurate and organized AP files and documentation
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve billing/payment inquiries
- Support audits by providing required documentation and reconciliations
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in AP workflow
- Adhere to internal controls, policies, and procedures
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 3+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to pass background/drug screen
- Eligibility to work in the U.S.
